Classes start Monday, and I am more than ready. My summer was boring, if you forget work in the equation, and I was completely unproductive with art. I had promised to better educate myself with Maya 3D, but so much for that. My classes this quarter are traditional media heavy, anyway. That's a good excuse as any.

Although she already beat me to the punchline, I met the most awesome yesterday. We have so many interests in common, that I felt we clicked right away. She is as sweet and pretty as her drawings~. Just like all my other friends, she is totally in this relationship for the benefit of my fat cat.

We kinda already knew each other without knowing each other. Yes, it's as confusing as it sounds. But at least it was embarrassing for her and not me, since I already went through that once. [Coming to class the next session and realizing it was *Ecthelian you were chatting up was awkward for like 20 seconds, until we were both like "LET'S DRAW NAKED MEN." Naked men brings everyone together.]

With spring quarter finally ending here at SCADvannah, I find myself in search of summer funds I can obtain with my clothes on. Now, while no matter how many times I might walk over to *Ecthelian's side of town, I doubt I'll soak up any osmosis-gifted talent. So. My question is thus.

If I were to take bust/head shot commissions, would anyone even be interested? Not to say any of this is definite, I'm just curious about demand. What do other (admittedly more awesome) artists around here charge for color busts? Is my work worth an equal or lesser value? Is soylent green really made of people?

Also, I'm pants at tutorials, since I never really paint with the same technique every time. However, if I were to post a file that showed the stage by stage application of color, what program (Photoshop vs. openCanvas), coloring technique/method, or subject matter would be the most helpful for you fellows?

The first day of Storyboarding, who do I inadvertently make friends with? Yea, *Ecthelian. She's totally molestable, but complete murder to my already pitiful drawing-ego.

I received my acceptance letter from Savannah College of Art and Design yesterday! They really made me shake my ass for it this time around. Unlike when I was accepted my senior year in high school, I had to write three essays, send a portfolio, and sacrifice the blood of one gay emu.

I should be staking claim by the end of December. I'm not sure what I'm transferring in as, since not all of my credits from the University of Tennessee will carry over.
